The Student Success Fee

Peter Phillips in studio with Project Censored Associate director Andy Lee Roth address the issue of the continuing increasing costs and difficulties of a college education in the US and how students and faculty are fighting back. For the first half of the show they interview professor Adam Bessie on the Orwellian “Student Success Fees” in the California State University and Dr. Victor Garlin  Professor Emeritus from Sonoma State University on how SSU President Ruben Arminana tried to bring new student fees to campus in 1996 and was challenged by Mario Savio. For the second half of the show we will hear from two Sonoma State students Patricia Miraz and Macy McClung on their recent victory over another attempt by the same campus president  to impose a new $500 annual fee.
