The truth is, our ‘representatives’ in government do not really speak for us. They speak for their careers, and for the consensus majority which follows the status quo. We do not need to depend on oil. We can make the choice to not support these companies, and to live simpler lives, cutting short the consumers the companies need so desperately to profit from.
We do not need to be consumers. We can be self-sustaining human beings, who are not hostages and conspirators in this subjugating and genocidal capitalist global economy. Its an individual choice. We are not helpless in this struggle. Our Western Lifestyles have outgrown their capacity, and change will come whether we enact it ourselves or the earth forces it upon us.

In whatever form of government, the power to decide always reside the few people who runs government. The oil industry is a business industry, it will do what it can to foster the interest of the business. Government leaders has always a choice either to stand for the good of his country and his people or his own good. I hope people will have the power and the commitment to elect leaders with true conviction to the common good.

I think you need to be aware that the corners cut and legislation made through the lobbyists for “big oil” are not our faults. How could you say that we the people are the problem, and not “big oil”. Sure, we consume the oil, but we have a need for it. Big oil in fact has forced us as consumers to only need oil by buying out many companies and inventions to steer away from oil. The only crime the american people have committed in this tragic accident is ignorance. By becoming complacent with our government and our businesses we have foolishly allowed these modern day pirates to rape and pillage our planet and our wallets.

To anybody that complains about oil spills – Don’t drive your car.

The oil that spilled in the ocean in 2010 was going directly into oyr cars or homes. If it wasn’t for people like us there would be no drilling or oil expansions in Amazon jungle. We are the problem not big oil companies like BP and Shell. They sell the oil and we buy it.
