the comments of iceberg 1979 and dubinsky clearly are example of my comment above. weilunion, it is refreshing to read something stated by someone who doesn’t wash their prozac down with a diet soda, (sorry, i had to say it!)
if the US were SO concerned with the welfare of people then we would be doing something to save the children of fukushima, but most people don’t know of the plight of the japanese because it was GE general electric, that built the reactors that continue to this day poisoning the people after they knew the reactors where of bad design as told to them when the 3 engineers resigned in protest prior to them being built. big energy, but also big media as GE is one of the 6 major owners of media today. and to add insult to injury, they’ll reap profits from the endless cancers the world faces from their greed driven war machine industry by their nuclear medicine division.
i read an article yesterday linking the bp oil spill to an faulty practice in repairing the cap by adding a gas to the concrete to speed up drying, (thus speeding up the profits), this was in the documents given to wikileaks by bradley manning prior to the gulf incident. once again they knew it was a danger and chose to risk the safety of the masses to insure faster profits.
not a wonder they hate assange.

yes, we do need a proper 9/11 investigation and those responsible need to be held accountable, that being said, it is my opinion that the citizens of this country made a HUGE mistake by not forcing cheney to release the notes to that “energy” meeting that took place when he first took office. i doubt we’ll ever know the real extent of the conspiracy that inspired that day. and yes, i say “conspiracy” as the criminal act that it is, not the delusional fantasy the ones committing them are trying to brain wash the americans into believing.

it is really frightening the level of ignorance most americans have as to the way their government acts. the hubris of thinking everything we do is so righteous and honorable, HA! and even when a leader like correa actually walks the talk and behaves in a way that is closer to our values as defined by the constitution, we still find a way to demonize him.

big energy, banks, media, military industrial complex, illegal drug trade are the ones running this country, and until the us taxpayers stop acting like a cash cow and stop funding and feeding the monsters with their tax dollars, then, in my honest opinion, we can just expect a gradual increase of “more of the same”.

As long as we have in power a government that is guilty of covering up 911 we have in fact a criminal fascist state. The infrastructure to uphold this fascism is being perfected with every minute. The internet is so far the only thing that is enabling us to do something about. And that is to get a critical mass of people to know the truth of 911 and eventually use some date such as the 911 anniversary to occupy AIPAC or the Israeli Embassy or some other symbol that is closely related to the crime of 911. If we do not get a proper investigation to 911 as an exponentially rising number of people are demanding, there comes a time when resolving this amicably in a court of law is over. It is then mob justice.
Remember George W. Bush’s words. “Those cowardly terrorists who did this to us will be brought to justice. They can run, they can hide, but mark my words: We will smoke them out of their caves and bring them to justice. We have taken off our gloves. And remember, you are either with us, or you are with them, and if you hide them, then you are with them.” Little did we know that George W. Bush was on their side. But how could we, we were all stunned, in a state of shock and awe. And with the flag waving patriotism flooding the land, who would dare to question the official government version of the unfolding nightmare. The official government version has been proven false. (Unless you believe the earth is flat)
