The show was started in 2010 by Mickey Huff and Peter Phillips and the program is an extension of the work Project Censored began in 1976 celebrating independent journalism while fighting media censorship.

Second- Commentary from Dr. Robert Abele, professor of philosophy, Diablo Valley College, author of several books on war, media, and ethics, most recently “Anatomy of a Deception: A Reconstruction and Analysis of the Decision to Invade Iraq” and Project Censored contributor.
Third- Investigative journalist, Kritina Borjesson, author of “Into the Buzzsaw: Leading Journalists Expose the Myth of the Free Press” and “Feet to the Fire: the Media after 9./11- Top Journalists Speak Out,” wrote introduction for Censored 2011.
