NBC was caught manipulating footage of a witness interview regarding an unarmed college student shooting. On May 27, 2015, Feras Morad was shot and killed by Long Beach police around 7 P.M. as witnessed by Kamiran Dadah and Ryan Fobes, along with others who wanted to remain anonymous. Morad was over at a friend’s house to prepare for a debate team event. While at the house he ingested psilocybin mushrooms, which shortly after made Morad unable to focus. Morad later broke through a window, and had many cuts and bruises. He was unable to comprehend the things his friends were asking and telling him. His friends proceeded to call the police to assist Morad. By the time the police arrived, Morad was not very responsive to their requests. The police stated that Morad came tried to injure them. As Morad was injured, high, and unarmed, this was not the case. Instead of helping Morad, the officer shot three bullets and all of them hit their target, killing the student. This event was yet another instance of police brutality. This shooting was just one of over 400 that were recorded to date at the time.
