Today’s guests – Jeff Mackler and Mickey Z – discuss how existing social movements might expand into a mass mobilization to replace the capitalist system. In the course of the conversation, the two long-time activists examine the lessons of Occupy Wall Street, Black-Lives-Matter, and Palestine Solidarity, among others.
Jeff Mackler is the national secretary of Socialist Action, a leader in the Free-Mumia campaign, and a member of the United National Antiwar Coalition’s administrative committee. Mickey Z is a New-York-based political writer; he’s the author of 12 books, most recently, “Occupy This Book.”
