In light of the recent death of conservative icon and talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, media scholar John K. Wilson rejoins the Project Censored Show to examine how Limbaugh changed US media and politics, and how his style helped pave the way for a Trump presidency. Then in the second half of the program, independent journalist Abby Martin looks at the direction of foreign policy in the new Biden Administration, based on Biden’s recent speech, and the backgrounds of his nominees for major Administration posts, along with early rhetorical posturing (note: this program was recorded prior to the air attack in Syria ordered by Biden).

Notes:

John K. Wilson writes for the Academe Blog, a web page of the American Association of University Professors. His report on press freedom on campus can be found here. Wilson has also written eight books, including “The Most Dangerous Man In America: Rush Limbaugh’s Assault on Reason.”

Abby Martin is founder and host of The Empire Files, as well as the host of Media Roots Radio. Her recent documentary is Gaza Fights for Freedom.
