MATT ROTHSCHILD
Matt Rothschild is the editor of The Progressive magazine, where he has worked for the past 24 years.
Prior to coming to The Progressive, he worked as the editor of Multinational Monitor, a magazine founded by Ralph Nader.
Rothschild has appeared on Nightline, C-SPAN, NPR, the O’Reilly Factor, and NPR, and “Hannity & Colmes.” His newspaper commentaries have run in the Chicago Tribune, the L.A. Times, the Miami Herald, and many other papers..
In 1993, Rothschild co-founded the Progressive Media Project, which diversifies and democratizes the offerings on the op-ed pages of our nation’s newspapers. Rothschild remains the director of this project.
He hosts a weekly syndicated radio program called “Progressive Radio,” and he does a two-minute radio commentary entitled “Progressive Point of View” Monday through Friday, which is also syndicated.
Rothschild published “You Have No Rights: Stories of America in an Age of Repression” (The New Press, 2007).
He is editing “The Best of The Progressive, 1909-2009,” to be published by the New Press in 2009.
