
September 17, 2021 was the tenth anniversary of the start of Occupy Wall Street. Journalist and author Michael Levitin was there at its beginning, and, among other roles, co-founded and edited The Occupied Wall Street Journal. His new book Generation Occupy: Reawakening American Democracy, chronicles the history of the Occupy movement and its ongoing influences. He spoke for a Zoom event hosted by Mickey Huff at Diablo Valley College in the San Francisco Bay Area on October 14.
Michael Levitin is a widely-published journalist who in 2011 co-founded The Occupied Wall Street Journal. His work has been featured in numerous publications internationally from Bolivia to Berlin, as well as in the Los Angeles Times, Time, Newsweek, The Atlantic and many other outlets.
