“Project Citizen”, a new surveillance project led by the National Security Agency (NSA) is a cyber security system which is supposed to protect America’s infrastructure from cyber attacks. The NSA is concerned for the security of the U.S against foreign threats that want to infiltrate important infrastructures like “power plants, electricity grids, air-traffic control networks, subway systems, nuclear power plants” through cyber attacks. These systems are important infrastructures of the United States and if ever infiltrated by an enemy could result in serious problems for National Security. Defense contractor Raytheon from Waltham, Massachusetts was contracted with a $100 million dollar contract to start on the project. Some critics claim that “Project Citizen” will also be used as a big brother system used to spy on the American people.
