Ray McGovern Bloodied at Clinton Talk

Former CIA operative and 27 year war veteran Ray McGovern was forcefully thrown out of a Hillary Clinton press conference on February 17, 2011.  Clinton was giving a speech about the peaceful protests that changed Egypt.   McGovern was thrown from the audience while simply standing with his back to her and not saying a word. Peacefully wearing a “Veterans for Peace” t shirt, the cancer survivor was beaten, bruised, and then dragged away in handcuffs before being sent to jail.

The often arrested and jailed protester chose to silently protest Clinton and hypocritical ways regarding her war policies, not her stance on Egypt itself. Continuing on the hypocrisy of Clinton, in the speech being given while McGovern was being dragged away, Clinton said regarding Egypt, “In each case, people protested because of deep frustrations with the political and economic conditions of their lives. They stood and marched and chanted, and the authorities tracked and blocked and arrested them.”
