October 26 through 30 was Media Literacy Week. Media scholar Nolan Higdon joined Mickey to explain why critical media literacy is an essential component of media education.

Nolan Higdon teaches teaches history and media studies at California State University, East Bay, and is a frequent contributor to the annual Project Censored books. He and Mickey Huff are the coauthors of  “United States of Distraction.”
Higdon’s new book is “The Anatomy of Fake News.”
